Dr Candida Hatherley joined Meadowbank Family Doctors in December 2015. She became a partner at the practice in 2023 and then sole owner in February 2025 after her two partners retired.

Originally from the UK she trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London graduating in 1996. She completed her GP training in 2005. In August 2011 she and her family moved to Auckland and she became a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2014.

Dr Candida Hatherley is enthusiastic about all aspects of general practice, and strives to provide quality patient centred care. Her interests include Chronic Disease Management, Sexual Health & Family Planning (including Mirena and Jaydelle insertion), Perimenopause and Women’s Health, Dermatology and Minor Surgery, teaching Medical Students and Prehospital Emergency Care.

Candida is married and has three children and outside of work enjoys reading, pilates and walking her dogs.
